Hello,

I brought a new PC as my old one was dead hehe.

I brought this GPU https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sapp...6-pci-express-graphics-car-gra-spr-03983.html and https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...b850-micro-atx-motherboard-mot-msi-05943.html MB however when i am installing the GPU it seems like i am not able to screw in in, so am not sure whats wrong, its hard to example but should I be removing anything to make it fit on the MB?

I can't afford much so this PC was a big cost for me and it doesn't seem to want to play nice haha.

No, you should not have to. The shroud is not snagging on the chipset or SATA connectors, right?

Make sure you remove enough of the PCI blanking plates on the case too. You need to remove one for every slot the card takes up (looks like 3, in this instance?).

What case are you using?

Remove all blanking plates if it helps, you can always put them back after fitting the GPU.

Can you post a picture?

I think it's the bar that goes under the card, been 10 years since I last upgraded
Oh, right. Well, just use the screws that come with the case, they're meant for it?

Sometimes when you're screwing things into those external ones like that, they paint over the screw holes and it takes a lot of force to start the thread. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but I have several cases like that and they were all a real pain.

In the ones I have, there's a clamp that you screw over the top and I think that actually takes a lot of the weight, so they barely even need the screws.

Ok looks good now, I got wait a few hours before I can test it due to work but I think it's all good now.

Thanks all was losing my mind at the idea of wasting money

Looks like you need to align the screw holes.
