New build issue

So **** **** off with this total crap!

After it overclocking fine, restarted, crashed, loaded defaults. I couldnt get past the restart to optimised defaults screen :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm occasionally getting this error

BlInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001

What the hell is that?

It means your OS failed to boot. Although why, could be any number of reasons. What OS are using?
Is your ssd set up in ACHI mode in the bios?
Try restarting and mash the delete button to get into the bios. When you get into the bios, I would check to make sure you have all the correct settings selected. Use your mobo manual for reference.

Can you please star out the rest of the swear words.

Sorry about the swearing. I'll stop it.

Yeah the ssd is set to achi.

I'm going to change some sata ports just on the off chance and take out the bios battery see if i get lucky. I've also opened up a support ticket with gigabyte and surely this is a bios issue?

Which Bios are you currently using?

I've tried the original and the new beta bios.

nothing works. I've just been stuck in a constant restart loop until i took out the bios battery.

Think it needs to be rma.

Which means i can't do any work, or play fallout

So the system is faulty at stock settings too?

It's either mobo or PSU for sure. As Idleman asked, how old is the PSU?

When you say restart loop, how far are you getting into the restart? Is the OS displaying?

Hey guys just build the new system which is in my sic.

When ever i restard the pc, it does an extra restard

and if i overclock anything, it fails to boot and goes back to the bios.

cpu is stock

memory is at something like 2133 instead of 3000.

any ideas whats going on?

This same issue happened to me the other day, turned out I restarted my PC manually when I was downloading a driver for my 980ti and the computer didn't like it at all. Kept making me boot defualts, so I deleted all drivers and reinstalled from website.

Maybe you just made a small mistake in that respect and your settings are a little messed up?

Did you turn off the computer while downloading graphics driver or mobo etc?

I have basically the same system just the KFA2 Hall of fame 980Ti instead and a super flower 1000w Platinum

Hmm this could be, my memory is so bad i can't remember but i'll have to give it a try.

I have had some luck though, i downloaded the beta bios from a different mirror and put it on, and now i have xmp working!!

Don't dare push further :(

At least you're making progress even if it is slow.

When my problem occurred I had just downloaded GeForce Experience and saw it said there was a driver update so I went a head and downloaded it & at the same time I restarted the PC when it was 20%. Managed to get in when loading defaults, went to program files and deleted it all. Everything to do with Nvidia and downloaded their driver package. Installed everything but experience problem sorted.

It is strange how something small has a huge impact on the system.

Hope you get it sorted though mate.

I think i may have found the issue, but im not too sure guys what do you think.

I went on to the gigabyte website and looked up what memory is supported for my motherboard (x99 sli) and my corsair cmk16gx4m4b3000c15 is lot listed on the supported memory modules.

Could this be causing the issue?

Cold boot failed today, had to go into the bios and reset into xmp again

It is not possible for board manufacturers to test every different ram module.
The only way to tell if it is the ram, is test every stick individually using memtest.
You still never answered the question on the age of your XFX Psu.
I use HWMonitor when stress testing, as it shows your Psu voltages, so you see if it is out putting correctly. Worth checking.

Sorry man, if i remember correctly its only a few years old, got it for my 280x tri-x crossfire setup before the 980ti

Spoke to a lovely gentleman from ocuk tech team and he advised me to set the xmp profile to 2666 which is now working perfectly.

I can restart my pc without it failing at post.

I can r.m.a the ram if i want, or wait for a new bios update that covers this ram. What should i do?

Might contact gigabyte and ask them what the situation is

Just to add that I get this exact same thing with my Giagbyte board (not the X99) and for the life of me I cannot resolve it.

It seems to be a board/bios issue.. yet to diagnose.

I would test the ram before you RMA, just to be sure. No harm in contacting GB, usually pretty quick in responding.

for me i just had to lower the memory speed.

Hoping for a new bios sometime in the future

http://www.techradar.com/downloads/memtest

Download and install, then just run it. Or you can use windows memory test, although I think Memtest64 is better.

Came back with no errors

Looks like i'm just an idiot and didn't check my motherboards compatibility list before buying ram

Thanks for all the help guys, i'll post here again when i hear back from gigabyte regarding support for the corsair lpx 3000mhz

Will leave a review stating its not supported
