New build issues...won't boot C5 error

Keep using the igpu and then connect the dedicated card.

Can then see if its detected in Windows correctly and try and switch over to it after its booted.

All sorted, not sure why it wasn't detecting it. Got all M2 drives in now, still bottom 2 fans not working and neither are 3 front intake fans, restart button not working either so I suspect my old nememis case cabling is up to his old tricks :D

Glad you got there in the end.

I did wonder if the errors where stopping the post detecting the dedicated gpu

Yeah, I was begining to worry it was CPU or MOBO related, especially with that difficult AIO install, wondered I'd broken something, took me ages.

Always the worry when building a PC.

Everything is new and you do not know if something is DOA, not connected or you have done something lol

Yeah your heart sinks on first switch on when it doesn't boot, then I have a right faff where I have my PC under the desk, and then crawling underneath it with phone torch or headlamp and misted up glasses trying plug in and then unplug everything - swapping one PC out for another, must have done that 10 times the last two days. Both of them are heavy...

:D

Any ideas why I have no sound? audio out is connected.

All options I have is both monitor as outputs or that Nahmic BS, nothing from Realtec - my codec is 1220 struggling to find somwhere to DL it from, I collected a bunch of drivers etc from Gigabyte for MB. I wonder if a trip to BIOS might sort it?

no audio is a driver issue not bios related, head to gigabytes website and under the support page for your motherboard download the correct drivers, MAKE sure you go to the correct page as gigabyte release different revisions of the same board with different drivers, any wrong ones that are installed will be a hell of a time to figure out and get rid of.

with drivers on the support page download the following ones

realtek hd audio driver v6.0.9927.1
amd chipset driver v7.12.04.858
realtek lan driver v11.26.50.2025
qualcomm wifi driver v3.1.0.1571
qualcomm wi-fi 7 bluetooth driver v3.1.0.1571

everything else windows updates will take care of

where about are you plugging in your audio cables? round the back on the board outs or via the front io on the case
