Hi folks

Looking for some help

Have just built a new pc, but it won't boot, I reckon its the atx power connector, it is an 8 pin and my psu cable only has a 4 pin atx....

The mb is an asus p7h55-m and the psu is a ocz500sxs

Could I get an adaptor or would I need another psu...

Was the only part I did not buy as I assumed it would be ok

Any help would be great

Thanks

I got the below bundle from here

CPU: Intel Core i3 540 3.06GHz @ 4.20GHz -Motherboard: Asus P7H55-M/USB3 Intel H55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard -RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3 -12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel -Cooler: Akasa Nero S CPU Cooler

The mb green light comes on, but does not start

I would personally buy a PSU with the correct adapters but you can buy the molex adapters but it all depends on the board and the amps it pulls for the CPU?

Again ill say the PSU should be the first port of call when building a PC. :)

Im sure someone will come along soon enough to help you better PeN.

Have you tried using the system underclocked?
