New Build Memory Check

Hi,

I'm looking to go with a new build

At the moment I've got selected

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz (Devil's Canyon)
ASUS Z97 Maximus VII Hero ATX Motherboard

I'm just struggling for memory selection
So far I have this as a potential

TeamGroup Vulcan RED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit

Will this work fine or any other recommendations?

That looks ok, what is main use as you could get away with 8gb of ram.

Gaming mainly, however for my work/research need to use a few VMs so would prefer 16gb either as a 4x4gb or 2x8gb.

2 x 8gb tends to work out cheaper also will allow you to add more in the futer (operating system dependant)

I did look at those bundles, but wanted to go with the maximus, got one of those currently in mini-itx version and i'm a big fan of them.
