Just keeps turning off and on. It did not do this before i removed the RAM, DVD, HDD and PCI soundcard..

Yes. It started to do this on and off lark when i tried the 'skeleton' build.

Double check all your connections from the psu to the mobo and your other components.

If your still getting the same problem - try hooking up your other psu. (if it's compatible)

WOW got it working

close to shattin myself :(

Ok im on BIOS now, everything should be ok. Thanks again Plec, this is like the 3rd time you've helped me :D

Ok, just to get a clearer picture...

You're running the mobo outside of the case witha skeleton setup?

Can you just confirm exactly what's hooked up - have you hooked up the cpu fan?

I think i've been a bit of a dimm tw@ :p

The RAM sticks wans't 'clipped in' so the PC just kept rebooting.

I have everything hooked up now and im in BIOS :)

Shall i put it all back into the case?

now my USB keyboard wont work :p

do i need PS2 keyboard befre i setup bios?

Hehe - That last problem sounded like the memory which is why asked if you had remembered to install it ;) (we all do it.)

I would sit in the BIOS for while and monitor your temps and set the BIOS to how you need it.

You could even install windows like this - and make sure that your setup is stable before you insert it into the case.

Your call really - i like doing the latter.

How did you get in the BIOS if it doesn't work?

It should work - some keyboards need the function keys enabling - usually a separate key (i had an ms keyboard like this)

If your having problems though just use your ps2 one for now.

Ok its getting worse :P

Everything is FINE but when the PC boots and the gigabyte screen comes up it asks me to press DEL to setup bios...

The keyboard is on, lights are on it... But when i press DEL or ANY OTHER key nothing happens :(

thats normally because the USB's dont synchronise (sorry cant spell) until after the maching boots the OS so try it with a PS/2 keyboard and it should work

*EDIT* is that correct as thats what ive heard :P

|tried it with a USB plugged into a PS2 converter then tried a PS2 keyboard

currently resetting BIOS to see if tha tdoes anything

Have you tried a ps2 convertor?

Edit: You must have posted as i was quoting :p

If its working with the PS2 coverter - i would just set your system up and load on windows.

Have you enabled USB keyboard in BIOS?

Haha :p

It's a new build so i need to get into BIOS.

The Gigabyte screen loads up, it asks me to press DEL. Thats as far as i get because out of the three keyboard NOTHING works.
