Ok here is a proposed build.

Now for a few points:

  • I have a 670 which I plan to keep till next year
    A 2 month old 800w PSU
    Decent Monitors
    CD drive
    Asus Sound card

Another few points, im in no way looking to overclock and haven't done for years but I would like a nice stable system that's future proof. I've been running my i7 920 for a while now and its starting to lag behind slightly.

Any suggestions please, I'm all ears, cheers.

On another note, looking at some of the boards and compatibility with DDR3, I see some say 2133(OC). Does this mean I need to OC or what exactly?

It is possible to get a hex core CPU for a bit more money.

You will need to set the RAM to XMP profile to set it up to the right speed as it defaults to 1600MHz.

Thats for the build Stulid, heres another I've just looked at...

Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB

Again, good spec, one thing I failed to mention was the UD3 will likely need a BIOS flash to recognise the 4820K/4930K, the CPU 's are supported with one of the later BIOS files, see if the place you purchase from will update the board for you.
