Not been on here in ages, don't upgrade my kit that often so I had less&less to contribute to the forums. Anyhow, just got all the bits sat on my work desk to replace my much loved water cooled Athlon XP @ 2.5Ghz/255FSB, NF7-S D26 Black Mantaray BIOS (got a stable o/c to 2.7GHz 225*12 but for everyday use kept it a bit lower) with:
E7200
Asus PK5-E
2x2GB OCZ 6400 Platinum Edition
Freezer 7 Pro
Corsair HX620
9600GT on the way, borrowing a card from work IT so I can build over the weekend.
Not going with water cooling on the new build - would want to swap my danger den pump (now like the swiftech one) as it whines really badly so cost would start being an issue with new tubing & block etc. etc. See how I go with the Freezer 7 to begin with at least. Should be o.k up to 1.4vcore I should think.
Anyhow, got to get my head round the slight differences but looking forward to arsing around with a new overclock and being able to contribute here again.
Quick question while I'm here - what BIOS should I be going with for the PK5-E?
