i've finally got power to the mobo by doing putting the power switchs in the correct holes (As i had misplaced one of them) and now i've encounted another problem which is my monitor is getting no vga signal. but all fans are ago when i press the on switch i can even hear the hdd booting up. but nothing on my screen. (also tryed hdmi plug in, also nothing)

Have you made sure that all the power connectors are in the back of the gfx card if
you are using a card that is not part of the motherboard?
If so try it in a different slot on the motherboard and make sure the monitor you are using
is on the right input mode for the cable that you are using DVI-D, HDMI etc etc...

moved graphics card to 2nd slot. the same again. yes the card is not a part of the mobo. all power cords are in the back of g card. monitor is on right setting for vga. (no dvi-d cable to test with)

Try connecting monitor to the vga port built into motherboard. Try it with or without graphics card and see if you get a signal. BIOS might be configured to look for on board graphics for it's first setup rather than the graphics card.

i unplugged the graphics card and it worked! my screen is asking for a boot device. finally. i'll probably be back to ask how to get my graphics card to work.

Hey, i finally got the gpu working thanks to Kevbiss1, so thanks for that!

Now my final last problem which is my 2tb HDD isn't showing up in my computers and device management. However it works in the bios under boot drives.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Also to note my main hdd is an SSD with w7 installed on it.
