new build not booting, screen doesnt come on :(

hi all, had my new build going for around a week, i put it to sleep earlier and when i woke it up i didnt respond properly and the fan on the gfx card didnt fire up. it then shut its self down and since then when i press the poer button the fans all come on but the monitor doesnt and i get this beep code, beep bip bip bip, followed by a long pause then another long beep.

im so gutted at the moment, im hopeing its the gfx card causing it as its a 6800gt that was going to updgrade.

any help or advice would be great as im not sure whats happened, this is my first build :( ive taken the battery out for 10 mins and have tryed moving the cmos jumper.

specs are,
asus p5q pro
e5200 - i turned the fsb up from 200 to 250
4gb g.skill ram
western digital 250 drive
coolermaster 460w psu
6800gt

Could well be a faulty gpu, can you test another gpu or test your current one in a different pc, does the card need cleaning.
Perhaps remove a stick of RAM then try the other stick just to rule out a possible faulty ram module.
 
cheers guys, im kinda glad to hear that! the card isnt dusty as i blew it off with the airline before i installed it. i will try and reseat is it worth trying the ram aswel?

i havent got a spare pci-e card to try but i might be able to test a friends later tonight.

ive noticed the gfx card has been running very hot, around 70-100 degrees with no great deal of load. i was planning on buying a new one anyway so fingers crossed
