Hi,

I've just finished putting together my new computer. It consists of:

Asus P5W DH Deluxe mobo
2Gb Geil Ultra Low Latency RAM
Sapphire X1950XTX 512mb
400Gb Seagate IDE HDD
Random DVD-ROM drive
Thermaltake Kandalf LCS Case
19" Acer LCD

I've connected up everything...powered up and everything lights up...fans whirring in case and on graphics card. Pump is pumping for the watercooled CPU but the BIOS is not showing; nothing is coming up on the screen. The screen jsut says no signal...Any advice?

(Can you tell it's my first build?)

The drivers for the graphics card aren't installed anywhere....how does the mobo know to use it to send the video out (assuming there is a video out...)

Doesn't matter, drivers are installed in Windows to allow for more optimised code to be used thus better performance.

Something in that setup is broken.

Remove the HDs/ATA drives/Mem + Gfx and see if it beeps.

If it doesn't beep then its either the CPU or mobo that is dead.

check all connectors r firm. the g card need power from the psu ?

or try mobo with psu, 1 stick ram , g card only & see what happens.
cant remeber what c2d board need this, but the ram maybe need more volts??
read the m/b forum, loads of ppl had & got this prob sorted. sure will just b something simple, g/l.

dont worry about the g card drivers, they get installed after u load u OS
