New build, ordering it next week :) anything missing? suggestions?

Couple of issues with that spec:

I'm not sure why you would "upgrade" to the v8, the Titan Fenrir is plenty good enough. If you need to spend the money - a prolimatech megahalems is the best (unfortunately out of stock at the moment).

Two 4770s is indeed technically faster than a 4890. However, the problem is that if you get a decent 1080p+ monitor (which you should for this kind of money) you will run out of graphics memory when you turn up the settings. It also eliminates any possibility of upgrading the graphics in the future by adding a 2nd card. Going for a 4890 makes the most sense at the moment.

Also, I'm not sure why you would go for triple channel 3GB memory for a dual channel board. If you run two sticks in correct dual channel mode - you would only have 2GB of RAM. Get this instead.

That samsung drive is pretty slow, get a WB Black as mentioned before.

It doesn't even come with a fan, and it may be good but only because of pure size. There are heatsinks out there (for instance from Xigmatek) that are good because they are efficient, and have decent fans.

It depends if you're upgrading in the future, but yes. Of course, i could bring up the whole dual core > single core, but a lot of games don't even support dual GPU yet, so i see your reasoning.

My bad, i wasn't paying attention.

That Samsung drive is very fast for an economical drive. It's very cheap, practically silent, very power efficient and everybody who uses it is happy with it. As before, efficiency over raw power. The Spinpoint F1s are good too, if you insist on a high RPM.

I agree that the Prolimatech is big. But in the world of air cooling that certainly seems to help. But on top of that it is a well engineered heatsink with plenty of heatpipes, loads of fins and a mounting system that is second-to-none. This is what I would expect from a bunch of guys coming from Thermalright. As for the lack of fan - it would be nice to have one included but it does give you the choice to go either cheap, silent or fast. I don't know how the Xigmatek is more efficient, it uses the same energy to provide inferior cooling. You may be referring to cost or materials, but the megahalems is the best performing at the moment - so you pay the premium.

The samsung F2 is a great drive, don't get me wrong. If I was going to buy a new media/backup disk now - that would be one of my first choices. However, for a primary OS drive Silence and efficiency should not be your primary concerns - you want a drive that has both low access times and fast data transfer speeds. With this in mind, the 1TB 7200rpm drives mentioned before would be much better suited (or an SSD if your budget can support it).
