Currently run an AMD 64 3000 on a MSI Neo Platinum K8N motherboard (Socket 754), with 2GB of DDR400 RAM, 120GB SATA Disk and a ATI Radeon X1950 Pro (AGP) graphics card.

Now needs upgrading as having problems with keyboard not responding, ie when playing a game for example and using up arrow key, then press down arrow key takes 4-5 secs to respond. It's not the game and rebuilt the pc and tried another keyboard, so guessing it must be the motherboard, hence need of upgrade. I think.

I play a few online games, World of Warcraft for example so decent graphics card is a must, say £100 budget? So need new board, processor, RAM, graphics card. Anything else? Have 22" screen, keyboard etc already

Total budget £300, will that do?

Really not sure of best route and really appreciate your advice.

I would look into getting a core2duo processor, there is one for every price range, and they also overclock very well if you are into that. Some of the e2xxx series can reach very high clock speeds with little effort!

Dont bother with DDR3 ram at the moment, as there is not a big enough improvement over DDR2, which is dirt cheap at the moment.

As for graphics i would recommend a 8800gt, it may be a little over your £100 budget but it is worth it!

Have around the OCUK site and read the reviews,

Good luck with the build!

Yes, reinstalled windows, same problem, seems it may be a problem with my anti virus (avast) so changing that at present, but either way, it's time for upgrade. PSU is 425W Hiper
