Just finished putting together my pc, when i came to starting it the case fans, PSU, CPU and DPU fans all spin up for a couple of seconds then stop, and if let in the on possition keeps doing it every 10 seconds or so. The mobo light also come on. Any ideas?

i5 760
gigabyte pp55-us3l mobo
corsair dominator ram (set in channels 2-4)
GTX 460
Coolermaster hyper 212 plus
coolermaster GX 550w PSU
Coolermaster 430 elite case
Samsung f3 HD

I have read that it might be the mount of the mobo to the case?

you fitted the little standoffs to the back of the case before placing the motherboard into it, if you haven't the keyboard and usb ports on the back wouldnt line up anyway.

you fitted the additional 8pin ATX to the motherboard as well as the 24pin connector?

both 6pin pcie placed into the GTX460?

try just one ram stick in different slots.

heatsink mounted properly/plugged into the CPU_FAN header, sometimes the motherboard will shut down if the cpu gets too hot/cant detect a fan rotation speed.

Sounds like something isnt in properly, unplug everything and ensure its all in properly, this includes ram, hdds, opctical drives, cpu, graphics and any add in cards.
