New Build Problem.

I have a gigabyte DS3, with 2gb of geil ram, and an e2180 with stock cooler.

All the fans spin and lights come on, but the monitor just stays black...i noticed that the default voltage supplied to the ram is 1.8v, and the ram needs 2.1v, is this a problem?

The ram voltage should not course a problem on boot.
Have you reset the CMOS.
Connected all power supply cables including the 4 or 8 pin for the cpu.

this can cause no post, black screen on many mobo.

try with 1 stick to see if u can enter bios, if can't.
loan/buy some low end ddr2 stick, set to correct volts, then insert your own ram, had to do this when i got my abit ip + saw this solve many a problem around here. g/l
