Hiya...

Recently purchased parts for a new build and was all working hunky dorey.

Went to turn it on yesterday and now it it starts to boots, flashes the bios screen up for like 2 seconds and then reboots. It just gets stuck in this loop......

I have tested everythhing I can think off ( i am a techie by trade) I have removed everything accept for CPU, RAM, GFX and still nothing. I have 3 ram sticks so i have tried each one individually, i have check all cables are ok and nothing.....still the same

The mobo is Gigabyte EX58-UD4P with an i7 CPU. I think the problem is with the mobo. It was part of a bundle from this site with the mem, so there is no compatability issue there.

Any Ideas?? Was going to RMA the board tomorrow, just hoping its not the CPU?

Thanks

With the motherboard you tend to find it doesn't boot at all - do you get any POST beeps (or indeed, do you have a speaker connected to allow it to beep)

It does the one beep and then displays the first bios screen, which dissapears in lke 1 second then starts to loop.....

I have tried the CMOS battery, that made no effect.

I pretty much stripped the PC down and started from scratch....

will try external to case

no have no other machines to test....

I7 makes life a bit difficult to :)

Did put another GFX card into the machine just incase it was that, but it made no difference

**update**

tried external to case today, but still not working. I have RMA'd today, so need to post off this week!!!!
