New build problem

Hey all

I have just built a new rig with a Z87X-UD3H + i5 4670K

The problem I'm having is when I install my graphics card (6970) I am unable to get into bios, my screen won't come on until it hits windows and no matter how much I hit DEL it still going to windows

If I remove my graphics card and use the built in Intel graphics I can get to bios no problems :/

Is there some setting I have to change or something I have to do to get things working properly with my graphics card installed?

oh and Fast boot / Ultra fast boot is turned off

Bios update?

You can use Gigabytes @BIOS utility to flash it in Windows.

Flashed to latest motherboard BIOS? Use qflash its safer than @BIOS

try with hdmi/dvi/vga ports if monitor has them

it can only be a bios bug atm with that card

Have tried it with DVI, HDMI, VGA all do the same, will try that bios now see how it goes

its not a bios modded 6950 to a 6970? ive seen issues with those on z77

ill pm stasio to pass it on to gigabyte bios engineers or he might know a cure

I will switch the card to the standard bios see if that does anything

also try setting pcie or peg to gen 2 mode see if that fixes it

After switching the the unmodded GPU bios.... it worked!

That is so weird :S I will try changing thoes settings like you saidand see if it works with the modded bios, if not I will just have to switch to normal every time I need bios

yh it was like that for gigabyte z77 too,idk if bios's fixed it I never followed up on it

Switched to gen2 and no effect, thanks for helping me get this sorted, I was up all last night thinking I had broken something haha
