New build problems

when Bios first loads up it says no physical Harddrive detected, when we go into the bios, it recognises that our HDD is there (wd raptor 300gb) but windows can't find it when we first start installing...

Any help please?

Mobo is a Asus X58 P6T Deluxe OC edition

You got it plugged into the SATA port or the SAS ports? Note which is SATA0 and plug it in that.
