hi guys, long time lurker, 2nd time poster, posting on behalf of a friend who has a new build,ive taken the pc off him tonight to look into it further;
spec is as follows;
intel i5 2500k
msi gd55 z68
2x4gb kingston hyperx genesis grey
lepa b 750w modular psu
HIS IceQ Turbo 6950 2GB
Gelid Tranquillo
now onto the problems hes been having, first of all the 6950 is not detected whatsoever, not in the top pcie nor the bottom(screwed around with multiple setups of power plugs), onboard via vga works flawless, the other problem is the 2 sticks of ram only work if their in slot 3 and 4 on the board and thus only run in single channel mode, testing 1 stick in slot 1 or 2 results in the pc rebooting continually, do u guys reckon the mobo is dead? as i type this im about to test the 6950 in my own fully working rig and possibly switch over the 2 ramsticks also
any ideas appreciated
