Hi,
Just built a new gaming PC with the following spec :
ASUS X670E-Plus
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
32Gb DDR5 RAM
Crucial T705 2Tb PCIe 5 M.2
RTX4080 Super
Corsair RM850e
Fractal Design North XL
Had a few teething issues, but got it running great now. My only query is with the PSU. It came with a cable for the 40xx series cards and works just fine, but as far as I'm aware, the extra 4-pins allow it to communicate with the PSU to request the power it needs. However the PSU end does not have the same connector, it's just two PCIe connectors at PSU end. So would I be better changing the PSU for one that comes with the same connector?? I'm assuming the only thing that may change is the power it uses as it's working just fine as it is. I bought that PSU as I thought ATX3.0 supplies had that connector, should have maybe researched that before buying all the bits! Don't think it's really worth bothering about but was just wondering.........
Cheers
