right i am building a new system for a friend as you may or not heard i know how to fit all the computers components together mobo gfx psu ram cpu e.t.c now what should i do from this point. turn the pc on and it automatically configures itself to the motherboard. or do i install the os first.


plz help
 
You turn the PC on, the motherboard detects the components (hopefully) then it should display a 'no os on boot drive' message, stick in your XP cd and then reboot the pc.

Install windows, then tweak the bios, how I usually do it. :)
