new build randomly reboots every few minutes

hey every one, looking for some help with this one. every few mins it just reboots itself.
just put it together for vr in the front room. all stock, spec is:

ryzen 5 3600 standard cooler
motherboard MSI B450 MAX
vengence LPX 16GB 3000mhz
EVGA 600watt psu
samsung ssd

tested with a radeon rx5700xt and with a radeon r390x

its driving me nuts. anyone have any ideas?

Try ram sticks 1 at a time, is xmp enabled?

Install HWInfo and check temps make sure nothing's overheating.

Does it reboot if you just sit in the bios is it only in Windows?

Just testing in bios to see if it resets. If it doesnt what do you sugest?

ok first try disabling xmp and boot to Windows to see if it reboots.

Xmp is off and so is game boost. 1 stick of ram a d the r390. Been about 5 mins in bios and no crashes

Enable xmp but leave game boost off then boot to Windows again.

Ok now try the same with the other stick, xmp off boot to Windows and if fine then xmp on and boot etc.

If it's not the RAM then PSU is the next most likely culprit.

Just tried a fresh windows install. Reboots soon as it exits bios, like a loop

Did you test the other ram stick?

Assuming you've tested both RAM sticks:

Reset bios.

Do you have the CPU power connector plugged in? It should be to the left just above the CPU socket.

I'd suggest monitoring your temps, there's a chance it's thermal shutdown. It could be a case of needing to reseat your HSF and plug the fan into the correct (CPU) header.

What's the EXACT model of your PSU?

Also try the following:

1. Make sure your bios is the most up to date.
2. Try setting your cpu multi/ratio to 30 and v-core to 1.3V maximum instead of auto, see if that lets you get into windows at least.
3. If you get into Windows download the most up to date chipset drivers for your motherboad and any other hardware you're running.

If you manually set the RAM speed to 2133 will it boot?

I've had a lot problems with Corsair LPX in the past, I steer well clear now.
LPX rarely runs at it's rated speed in my experience.

From what he said it boots to Windows on 1 stick with xmp off but crashes with xmp on, needs to test the other stick now.

Tried the other stick. Tried manual ram settings. The cpu and motherboard connections are firmly connected (2x4 pin connectors) cpu fan is on and working showing aprox 29c to 31c

Psu is an evga 600watt 80plus. Its from my other fx8350 machine

Was it the same with the other stick? Xmp off it boots ok xmp on it crashes?

If it's purely an XMP issue, he should be able to just manually set timings/speeds etc and he'll be fine.
