Hi,
Ive not posted for a really long time on here but im stumped, and im hoping someone can help me
I just bought an XFX nfore 750i SLi motherboard to replace my old Abit QuadGT board
i had bought the new board because i thought it was causing hard drives to fail and ram to fail as ive had 4 HDD's go using it and 2 sticks of ram "possibly"
I'm still coming up with problems though.
I cant install world of warcraft due to an "error code 8" which is aparently a ram issue
and when running WoW (you dont need to install it, you can run it from the files off a hdd) it crashes without a bluescreen
Ive ran memtest 86 on all three of my sticks of ram and 1 was coming up with errors so ive got rid of that out of the system
problems are still occuring.
my specs are (out of date really, but)
XFX nfoce 750i SLi MOBO
e6600 core 2 duo
OCZ 1000w PSU
now, 2 gig of GEIL ddr2 800 low latency ram
EVGA 8800GTX Superclocked GFX
320gig hitachi hdd which is about 3 months old
ive not overclocked anything yet as i need a stable system first
the crash seems to be a protection type crash - like, to stop overheating
when i check the bios my CPU temp is about 55-60 degrees C
so im guessing its either the GFX, HDD or RAM
what do you guys think?
Any help would be great! E-Beer for you if you can help
Thanks,
Russ.
