New Build - Refuses to run stable!

Have you changed any of the settings in the DIGI+ VRM Section? Try these settings:

CPU Load-line Calibration [Level 5]
CPU Current Capability [140%]
CPU VRM Switching Frequency [Auto]
VRM Spread Spectrum [Auto]
CPU Power Duty Control [T.Probe]
CPU Power Phase Control [Extreme]

Also make sure that CPU SVID Support is OFF and If it has a Power Saving & Performance Mode is set to Performance Mode.

Hope that helps. :)

Gents, I cannot thank you all for your time and efforts in trying to solve this issue.

I have today taken every component apart. I got a magnifying glass out and discovered two CPU pins which appear to have been flattened or snapped off of the motherboard. I'm 100% certain it isn't my own doing, as the CPU has only been installed twice in total and I take extreme care over the installation (I've learnt the hard way in the past why you take time and be gentle).

On reading the forums, it appears this is more common fault than you(I) would expect on a high end performance board.

Time to RMA it and get a new one!

Hate to tell you this but you will likely be blamed for the damage to the socket and the RMA will be refused or you will be given a repair estimate. Seen it sooooooo many times.

You need to put the crystal ball away my friend. They emailed me 10 minutes ago with exactly that! I have responded quite bluntly. They have offered to pay for the repair as a "gesture of goodwill" so at least that's something, but I want a replacement really. If they've managed to make a mess of the pins who knows what else they've messed up.

Unfortunately, the motherboard is one of the only parts I didn't buy from OcUK. I recently RMA'd something with OcUK without issue and the service was perfect. That'll teach me to go elsewhere to save £10!!!

i did same mistake with my mobo but after company refused to repair or replace i took it further and got my money back to order my new mobo from over clockers.
at least a repair is a good starting point, you can go from there.

the saying a damage pin etc invalidates a warranty is abit of scap goat clause I think, personally how many people will get a glass to check for pin damage where cpu goes, answer is 0

Yep its an utter nightmare. I have had motherboards arrive with bent pins and our suppliers say the same thing.. Errrrr nope! I have built thousands of systems based on the LGA format and I have never bent a single pin. It is VERY common and I would guess OP purchased from a certain Bolton based company? ;)
