So I've put together a new build for a mate.

E2160, Abit fatal1ty, antec nsk4400 and various other gubbins.

Put em all together, powersupply is feeding the mobo power as indicated by the led, but when I press the power on button on the case, nothing happens.

I've tried clearing the cmos, removing all non-essential components, but i still get no power from the switch.

now my first instinct is either that the mobo is being funny, or the power switch on the case is.

any ideas what else may be the cause,or how to test if either of the above are the cause?

cheers

Hye Krooton, do all your fans spin up and that?

If so make sure you have connected the 4pin +12v connector into the motherboard that comes out of the PSU.

Make sure you have connected the power button jumpers correctly onto the motherboard.

Checked the power switch wire is inserted correct way round on mobo's 'System panel connector*'?

*that's where all the cables from the front of the case goto :)

Hi guys

Thanks for the replies.

For some weird reason, my last ditch attempt which involved unplugging the 2 case fans sorted it, and now everything works as it should.

That's a relief, :D

Overclocked it to 2.7Ghz off the bat too, lol
