Hi guys, hope you can help.
Yesterday I took delivery of some bits for my new build, upon putting it together it worked fine but twice now, after rebooting, it's failed to output any video - from either of the DVI ports on the graphics card or the on-board DVI port. You can hear the Windows chime in the background and see the keyboard & mouse lights flicker as it loads the drivers so it's not hung.
When this happens I've tried resetting the BIOS, reseating the GPU, powering the GPU from a different PCI-E connector and even replacing the GPU with my old GTX 460 - each time with the same results, eventually after ~15 restarts it will output video, just like nothing happened, and will continue to do so, even after rebooting - it seems totally random.
Do you guys have any ideas? The new spec is as follows:
MSI Z68A-GD55-G3
Core i5 2500K (cooled with a Corsair H50)
Corsair XMS 8GB Kit, 1600MHz
MSI GTX 570 TwinFrozr III
Antec TruePower New Modular 750W PSU
Intel X-25M 120GB SSD
Seagate Constellation 500GB 2.5" HDD
Sony Optiarc 12x DVD-RW
One thing I haven't tried is the monitor itself, however I don't have a spare one to hand, and it worked fine on my last build - do you think it could be the monitor (or DVI cable)? It's all working fine at the moment, just going to run OCCT GPU and CPU tests on it now.
Cheers,
Kona
Edit: It appears others are having similar issues with the GD65: http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=152086.0
