New Build, Stuck getting it to run.

Hey guys just finished my build and having some big problems. First the specs are as follows
Asus Z87 Maximus Vi Formula
Intel I7 4770k
8 gb 2400mhz team group ram
and 1000w platinum psu.
r2 290 windforce graphics card
Me and a friend have been up all night trying to fix this. After being stuck not being able to get into the bios we got in. We got the point where we can install the operating system and download stuff etc. We were only able to do this by taking out the graphics card. If the card is left in we keep getting the 99 error on the motherboard which had us stuck earlier in the evening. What is going on..can someone please please help.

if needed, have you updated your mobo's BIOS?

Just read the same problem on another forum, the cure was, disable csm in the bios. If you can't get into the bios or get it to post again, look up in your manual how to blind flash Asus bios.

so disabled CSM and when saved and leaving the bios it goes into a loop where the only option is to go back into bios, leave it and then just loops it doesn't actually boot to OS

Although it's boot looping, does it post with the gfx card installed or are you still having to use the on board gfx.

Have you corrected the boot priority order in the bios? When I flashed a new bios on my Asus mobo it changed the boot priority away from my OS hard drive.

The loop is with the graphics i can force it to boot in a few, if the graphics card i installed and i boot up it wont go into bios properly with csm enabled but i'm able to close it and least get my os running. I believe my boot priority is correct i'll double check

So your saying the PC now works with the GFX card installed as long as CSM is disabled ?

If so the problem is cured and you probably just need to format and re-install windows again.

No it's not solved. When I disable CSM it just goes into the loop. If i have it enabled i have to go into bios ( it doesn't really come up it comes up scrambled) exit it without any changes and then it goes to os etc. It's still giving me problems

tried with backup bios on the graphic card?

read somewhere it might be to do with uefi but that was on a gigabyte board

There is usually a switch near to where the crossfire connects would be.

Just away from home till end of week due to work, I'll look for the backup bios when I get back, hope to get this sorted already haha
