Hi there. Just built new parts into a pc 24 hrs ago and the thing is cutting out when the cpu is being used hard. I'm a former hardened amd user who just switched to a core i5 and id swear the issue here is me not knowing how to config an intel bios.

Build is

Mobo: Gigabyte ga z77m d3h
Cpu: Core i5 3570k @ stock
Cooler: Corsair H80 with 2 akasa venom 120m in push pull, flat out.
Mem: 8 gig ( 2 x 4 gig) kingston hyper x grey @ 1600 xmp
Gfx: Asus EAX 6850 dcu r2 @ 900, 1050 *(one of atm till this rig is stable)
Psu: Pc power and cooling 950 watt
Hdd: 1 toshiba (hitachi desk star) hdd in sata 3 g + 2 seagate baracuda in sata 6 g raid 0.

Problem is, even at stock, every time i run prime or any cpu intensive game, the rig powers down after a while. Strangely enough, it doesnt just do that, it waits 5 secs then powers back up itself then reeboots!!!

Myb its bios or what, i dont know. Never seen this before. Can anyone help stabalise this rig?

Oh and temps are amazingly fine. Cpu max core is under 60. Mobo is static 35. Voltages and other stuff look good.

Yeah it does. Prob is the psu is brand new, just installed yday.

The mobo has one issue i dont like with temp though. There arn't many voltage chips down the side of the cpu and they have no heat sink. Also the vcore is locked out and dynamic. All that along with the h80 blocking out the mosfet's. There prob overheating...
