THe 1600mhz rating is its maximum speed, the i7 by default runs at i believe 1333mhz, the ram will just run at this speed untill you overclock.
you will notice in the descriptions of the rams linked that some are C9 and some C8, the C8 are better as the memory timings are quicker, it kind of comes down to cost.
either buy the OCZ Gold or to save some cash buy the Obsidian stuff
