New build to replace Sandybridge pc!

For £140 you can get 32GB of 5600 DDR5 (Vulcan), so that seems a tad overpriced for the slowest RAM.

If you switch to the WD SN770 you can have 2TB for just £5 more.

What is the model of the Superflower PSU and how old is it?

If it is out of warranty you could replace it with a SFX PSU and get the Lian-Li you originaly wanted.

Example with potential for upgrade of GPU at a later date.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £129.89 (includes delivery: £9.90)

You can use a SFX PSU in a normal case as long as you have a SFX to ATX bracket and cable extensions.

my 2 pennies worth.
saved on some overpriced parts to dump a 6800xt right in off the bat...this is 45-50% faster than a 6700xt
you do lose in terms of long-term upgradeability, however if you've managed to keep a sandybridge pc going for 11 years then i don't forsee this being too much of an issue

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,519.09 (includes delivery: £13.20)

@tamzzy
Many thanks!
I do currently have a 128gb ssd for OS, 250gb for games and 1tb hdd for music.
Hence why I went for 2tb m2 drive
Given size of games I might still proceed otherwise that looks a good build

I can't see the point in doing a DDr4 build these days, you are saving little in the long run, and £630 is hella expensive for a 6800XT, you'd hope it would be 40% faster if you are paying 50%+ more for it.

I just built the following system for ~£1650 - too much RGB puke for my liking, and very brand centric, but easy to upgrade in future or knock £280 off the build cost dropping down to the 6700XT, so ~£1370 and that is still with an expensive case etc.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI PRO B650-P WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: ADATA XPG LANCER RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL40 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card: MSI Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING X TRIO 16G Radeon RX 6900 XT 16 GB Video Card
Case: be quiet! Pure Base 500 FX ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 11 FM 750 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Final roll-call!
pretty underwhelming and not really value for money in my opinion

whilst the 6700xt is a decent card for the price, it's only marginally better than a 1080ti from nearly 6 years ago (15-20%)
basically, if i were spending my £1700 i'd expect much more gpu performance than a 6700xt

that's slow ram for ddr 5, you'd want 6000 cl36 ideally: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...l-kit-black-cmk32gx5m2d6000z36-my-4df-cs.html

500gb m2 is for OS
very pointless unless you're wanting to reinstall windows every month. for most users, it's just simpler to stick to one ssd for os/games and a hdd for media files unless there's a specific need to deviate from this

save some £££ - not really needed?

odd pairing - might as well get a z690 board

what @Journey said
this is not a price worth paying

as always, shop around for the best prices and you'd save quite a bit on the costs
