Evening all,

It has come of the time when this computer has died and so a replacemnt needs ordering asap. I do however have to split the order in 2 parts. So, with a budget of around £700 I require the motherboard, ram, processor, gfx card and a power supply. It will be running a 22" monitor however it will be used for college work plus light gaming ie. medal of honour spearhead. Running Vista Ultiamte 64bit. May dabble with overclocking later not, but not that fussed to begin with.

I cam up with the following as a spec for the time being:
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) -
(£187.99)

Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK)
(£91.64)

Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
(£99.86)

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA804)
(£180.92)

Gigabyte GA_P35_DQ6 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
(£133.94)

Total : £704.87

This will be housed in a armour jr case, already own a 320gb WD sata drive and DVD drive.

So any probs with the build and secondly, which is least likely to deprecitate between the two weeks when i order the parts. Will order first parts tonite then second lots of parts 1st september.

Thanks, Jamie

PS. Has to be ordered in two parts, cannot put it all thorugh in september :)

Might as well drop the PSU down to the 520w corsair model. People are running vastly more power hungry graphics cards on that PSU, so you still have plenty of headroom & save some money.
