Hi

I'm doing a new build and have got windows 7 installed on my SSD, Sata ports set to RAID mode whilst it installed.

Asus p8Z68-V Gen3
I5/2500k
Crucial M4 64Gb SSD

All is good. What I want to do now is add 2x500 SATA drives and configure them as RAID1.

Obviously I have to connect these two drives with power and sata cables but on this motherboard can anyone tell me how to get into the RAID management to configure an array on them?

Is it just a case of installing "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" from the Asus CD, then pressing ctrl-i on boot... at the moment ctrl-i does nothing

Cheers

You have to press Ctrl-I when the Intel RAID setup screen appears.

This should be after the BIOS has finished its POST process but before Windows start to load.

Do you see such a screen?

Thanks for the reply
No I don't see any screen like that, basically I get the asus screen prompting me to press del to enter bios, then after that its Starting Windows....

(oh as a side point thanks to some threads i saw you comment in I lowered my corsair RAM to 1.5V from 1.65 which it auto'd to when i set xmp profile...thanks)

oh just realised my first post is not quite clear.. I havn't installed "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" yet... is that why I don't see that screen?

As the screen should come up before Windows loads it wouldn't make any difference.

You've definitely set the SATA controller to RAID in the BIOS:
