New build was running fine up to today. Please Help!

Ok thanks will give them a call Monday morning, in your experience how long does it take to get a replacment sent to you? I really do need to have the computer running at it's the best by the of the week (before weekend :( ...

Hmm, well sending it to them may take 3 - 5 days for them to receive it, possibly less though. For you to receive it, it may take 3 - 5 days, possibly shorter. So, possibly a week in total, unless you pay extra or something for them to send it for the next day (I'm not sure if you can do this as I've never had to return anything to them).

The last thing I returned was a GTX470, but I sent it back using DSR so just got a straight refund and bought something else completely different.

Dont think I ever have returned anything faulty to OCUK, but saying that I dont buy much stuff from them as I can always get better deals.

i would think that if you brought the ram within 28 days. OCuk will just replace it for a new set under your statutory rights.
I sent 2 RAM sticks back that went faulty after about 2 years. OCuk were very good about it, tested the RAM to confirm it was faulty but then had to send it of to Corsair for a replacement. They told me this would take around 4 weeks, but it only took around 3 in the end (although i delivered and collected from OCuk).
(i do think Corsair could and should replace their faulty items faster though)

Imo 3-4 weeks is simply unacceptable, would they give u 3-4 weeks to pay for the product in the first place ? i seriously doubt it and i seriously doubt it takes 3-4 weeks minus postage to test it either.
With ram u can send it back next day pretty cheap as it's small and has no wieght and they will probable test it the day after it arrives and then send u out another set the day after so turnaround should be under a week.

I suppose u could buy another 4Gb and then when ur current ram comes back from RMA u could use the 8Gb.

LOL nah that'll be way overkill and pointless. Might buy a different set of RAM and return the other sticks for a full refund. But wouldn't both stick have to be faulty?

Once u get confirmation that they will give a refund if found faulty then u can just buy the new stuff.

I agree that the 3-4 weeks to RMA is way too long (not OCuk fault though). This shows the importance a company puts on to the RMA (not a lot!). i know things do go wrong and no one can be blamed for this, but a premium is paid for these branded products so that when they do go wrong.......... I had to buy new ram to keep my work pc up and running while i had to wait for Corsair to get around to sending me the quality i originally paid for.
I believe that in law this would constitute "damages" and would have been even higher if i had to take 3-4 weeks off work. i don't feel 3-4 weeks is "reasonable time" in these situations.
On the up side i now have 6gb of ram..... although am still £30 out of pocket.
Saying all this i still by Corsair.

Sounds like the OP is still within 28 days, if so just send it back for a replacement or refund from OCuk. From what i have seen OCuk seems to be very good at their customer service so wont have a problem with this and should also be fast.
If you live close enough take it to their shop and they should replace it immediately.
