@ne0 looking at your photo of your motherboard is the cpu power cable in the correct connector ?
Normally it's the power connecter closet to the cpu socket .
Oh wait sorry I misunderstood, you said CPU power. Let me just check the manual again.

No, he means the 8-pin power connector that goes to the top of the motherboard.

Not sure - how are they connected?
Could add an extra cable to the other connector if possible to rule things out some mother boards can be funny.yep sorry. I just checked the manual and they are labelled ATX_12V_1 and ATX_12V_2.
I have it plugged in to no. 1
For power they're all connected to a single SATA cable from the PSU (SATA cable issue?!). I have a pwm controller which came with the case, plus a commander pro hub which can with the aio and its 3 fans. I can't understand why the fans don't even spin.
I'm thinking its either a short, faulty psu or motherboard I still would take the motherboard out of the case and do a minimal build.
Sorry if nooby question but why take the mobo out of the case?
To rule out any short.
A lot of people build a minimal pc before putting into a case to check it works.
Yes or a wooden table/board but don't pit it on the anything conductive . You will have to jump the power on connector on the motherboard once all parts have been connected.Ah ok yeah that makes sense. Should I rest it on a piece of cardboard? I think I'll try this tomorrow and then go from there.
Big thanks for all the replies and help so far.
Ok thanks. I've watched a few vids; gonna jump it with a screw driver. Pain in the back side this but positive is I'm learning something new.Yes or a wooden table/board but don't pit it on the anything conductive . Minimal parts build.
If no luck then you need to test the psu you can do this with the paperclip test. Most psu fans don't run until a certain load so you would need to attach a fan to one of the psu connectors.Ok thanks. I've watched a few vids; gonna jump it with a screw driver. What psu do you have ?
No, you misunderstood.I won't rule the PSU out but I'm least suspicious of it as it was working perfectly in my previous build which I've just taken it from. It's a Silverstone 850w 80+ platinum.
Been doing some more reading and a couple of posts on the Asus forums mention no q-leds on the motherboard usually means either PSU or motherboard is to blame.
