New build won't start

Hi guys,
As the title says basically, the case fans, cpu fan, graphics card, mobo all come on/light up for about 1s then turn off. About 5 seconds later it will do this again, and so on... I can also hear what I think is the hard disk being accessed in this time too. Any ideas? This is my first build, I've followed the build guide so not sure what's up.

Check and recheck all power connections. Check and recheck all data connections. Make sure the RAM is fully seated. Make sure the video card is fully seated.
 
Phew just a missing power cable, got slightly confused and forgot to plug in the 8 pin one next to the cpu. i mistook the 24 ATX to be 2 different plugs.

550w should be pleanty hopefully, there's no Crossfire going on ;).
