New build won't start

I recently got a fractal 3000 case - gigabyte z77-d3h corsair 600w psu and 8gb ram however it turns on for a split second and the turns off? The led turns on for the time it's running also the graphics card fans turn on then off for the split second any ideas?

Check all connections and make sure the 8 pin for cpu power is connected.
Also try a CMOS reset.

where is the cpu power ? i cant seem to locate the 8pin?

Sorry its 4 pin by the cpu socket, just in front of the rear I/O ports.

It will be the 8 pin which "break's" in half.

No probs, it would be worth doing a CMOS reset as well

did you use standoffs?
i had the same problem when i forgot to use them

My fans keeps turning on and off and i have to press the power switch a few more times
