New build wont work - help pls!

I've just put together the following components:

Case: Lian-Li V300
Motherboard: Asrock 945G DVI mATX
CPU: Intel core 2 duo E6400
PSU: Blue sparkle 400W
Memory: Geil 2x1gb PC5300


I've followed all the instructions to a T and am bewildered as to why my system won't work! It powers up but it doesn't seem to be communicating with my monitor. The screen remains blank and in stand-by mode. The PSU seems to be running and the fans from the case which are plugged into the motherboard are working too.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be?

Any help will be greatly appreciated as i'm pretty worried at the moment!

Ok first of all, make sure you are switched off at the wall and earth yourself. Check all the power leads are into each of the devices, make sure also the CPU is seated properly as is the graphics card. Reseat your RAM also. Then see if it will bootup.

Is it the retail E6400? Is there enough thermal paste between the CPU and heatsink?
 
I had already rebuilt it three times, everything that is apart from the CPU. Gues what...........

It was the CPU! I took it out and put it back and it works!!!
