Samsung T220 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor

Thanks

PS: This upgrade is mainly for Mortal Online game , anyone looking forward to it ?

As you're buying such a high spec system have you considered the equivalent monitor in 24"?

If you need 22" for space or preference reasons i would recommend the DELL UltraSharp.

I was thinking about it , still am . I already have a 22 monitor/tv so I am not sure. I particulary liked that one for its value on 2ms response time.

Could i persuade you in getting a 275? It out performs the 285 on some tests, and it's relatively cheaper and possibly get the best of both worlds (Antec 900 and 1200) which is the Antec 902?

Don't get too hung up about response times - as long as they're within 6ms and the reviews are good you should be fine - take a look in the monitor forum for reassurance on different models. (of course it's a subjective thing - so there will be differing opinions but if the reviews are consistently good and forum feed back is good that's usually a good benchmark)

Usually there is a trade off in colour/picture quality with the really fast tn panels - so it may be worth reading a few in depth reviews if you haven't done so already. (i'm unfamiliar with that Samsung model as i buy DELL as i love their customer service.)

Nope - the board you're getting is already a very good quality board - packed with features. You should easily hit 4GHz with that combo of components.

I would spend the extra notes on a better monitor.

Yep, you could do the above and save yourself £46'ish (i think andi got his wording slightly mixed - unles he meant minus £46 and it's me that's misread it) - its a great MB for the money and is a proven clocker and would save you yet more money.

I was reading the monitor section and couldnt quite figure out the best 22" - 24" gaming monitor(£ 260 budget). How are these like :

Dell G2410 24" Widescreen LED Monitor
Samsung SM2494HS 23.6" Widescreen LCD Monitor

Aye, it was a minus, but I should have made it more explicit. I usually write with loads of dashes anyway, so its my bad - great board though.

I can't really advise you on either as i haven't seen any in the flesh - or read many reviews that stick out in my memory.

The only thing i will point out is that i, personally, would try and get a screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 at 24" - but it wouldn't be a deal breaker as it's a minor issue.

The above monitors are 2 of the best 22" non-tn panels for the money on the market.

Even my love of DELLs customer service is tested by the HP model - it's fantastic.

EDIT: misread post again - must start concentrating more on my work panel...

None of them are available , any alternatives ?

The 24" versions - only £150-£200 more ;)

The 22" panels are in stock at other large e-tailers - obvioulsy can't name them. Unless you would like some cheaper alternatives? But they won't be non-tn.
