New Build

Hello.
Off to uni in a few weeks need a new pc. Budget between 500-600 pounds. Looking for it mostly to do uni work but also have the campablity to play new games. looked @ maybe a barbone XPC because of size, but do you guys think? Do i go intel or AMD ?

Wait until tomorrow and get an i5 build, and then maybe the tenth for some new graphics cards.
