Hey. Im mainly a gamer and I'm thinking of doing a new build (my very first!) with the following components. Does this look good or do I need to change things around, and what would be the best GPU to have with the lot. Any help is much appreciated, cheers.

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail

Asus P6T SE Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard

OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 Low-Voltage Triple Channel (OCZ3G1333LV6GK)

OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Ready Modular Power Supply

Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (WD6401AALS)

Pioneer DVR-S18L 22x DVD±RW SATA Labelflash ReWriter - Black (Retail)

From what I've read here, if you're mainly a gamer it would probably be better to get an i7 860 instead of an i7 920. It costs slightly less overall (if you include the motherboard and RAM, which'll have to change) and the extra Turbo will be useful for gaming, whereas the 920's HT won't be of much use.

You could even downgrade to an i5 and put the saved money from that towards your graphics card.

I'd think about going for a hd5770 at the moment, then if you feel you need more oomph! in the future you can buy another and crossfire them.

up the hdd to 1tb if you can.

if you only have 150 for a gpu then a 4890 would be a decent choice.

get an 1156 cpu and you could save a few more
