Hey,I'm planning on a build gaming/animation pc sometime early this year and I'm looking for advice on parts. I want to spend 1500 -1700 Max but of course as always the cheaper the better. I want to incorporate a rtx3080 I know that but I am looking for recommendations on other parts that would go well with it such as motherboard ,processer etc just everything that I would need would be a great help.

Joxeon list is good If you wanna go down the AMD route:
CPU: AMD 5600x £329.99
Motherboard: MSI B550 tomahawk £169.99
CPU cooler: I would go Scythe Fuma 2 £49.99
(Rest the same)

I did consider AMD but it's a tough sell since with Intel you're currently getting 2 extra cores for virtually the same price.

I miss 3DS Max, used before merge with Maya .

You can pick up 10 core intel for £350-370 .

3080 you'll be spending a lot . What software will you be using for rendering ? As below, default is CPU - in uni I changed to GPU for 8800GTX (2006) , and had about 3 rendering PCs .

Would aim for 6800 or 3070 - 3070 would allow push for higher AMD core count

Personally would move to ryzen 30950x for 16 cores and 3070 - a counter to the Intel , which is better prices then ryzen 5600 6 cores
