NEW! Business & Education Services & Bulk Orders

You might have noticed a new section on the website of late called Business & Education Solutions, in which case finding out that we are now offering a specialist service to business customers will come as no surprise!

For those of you that didn't know, well, we now offer a specialist service for business & education customers! :D

We know that the needs of our business customers differ from those of an individual consumer and for that reason, we now have a dedicated B2B team whom you can get in touch with. It's worth pointing out also that with most bulk orders, we are often able to negotiate deals meaning you pay less.

To find out what our business team can do for you, get in touch direct on 0871 200 5058 or visit the Business & Education Solutions page here to find out more.

Call our business team now on 0871 200 5058

Good idea, but I firmly believe you'll struggle with this. As a purchasing manager, lack of any onsite support and long rtb warranty turn around make this an instant no for certainly my company.

Also its about time you got rid of 0870 numbers, businesses have phone bills too, I realise just how much revenue it generates for your company but we don't use 0870 for our clients and as such I avoid ringing them.

I contacted ocuk a fair few years ago about a trade business account and my email was ignored.

Couldn't help noticing that the "you may also be interested in section" for the business PC's suggest Windows Home Server and Office home and student! Maybe you want to change that.

I would certainly consider buying for business, its probably not going to be right for a 2000 seat company (although who knows), but for a five person firm like us it would be ideal and I am sure it will be much more personal. We are not that far away either (Shrewsbury).

Likewise. As long as the discounts are there, for small businesses it would be ideal. I know of a couple of companies I would be happy to recommend to you, if only they hadn't just been to their local PC retailer!

I looked at the link expecting education discounts on products from adobe, microsoft and apple ect due to the education part and as me being a full time student. Could do with the education part removing and just leaving it as Business.

I work for a large multinational company and we have actively banned 0870,0844 style numbers. If the supplier doesn't have a traditional landline number, we dont deal with them.

I'm glad its not just our company that thinks this. I'm sick of the tactics employed by companies and bt etc here.

FREE 0870 and 0845 numbers!!!!!111one - Everone moves to 0871 and 0844. Its also even more annoying when as a company you know just how much other companies are getting out of people whilst sat on hold listening to cack music for 10+ minutes.

saynoto0870 is my favourite website and one I make extensive use of, even for ringing ocuk and similar companies.

Yup I'm the same, these non geo even the free ones are a pain.
Sometimes you need to call from a mobile and the charges are extortionate tbh.

i guess this started to actually stop customers from calling as it takes manpower to answer phones but for business it defnately will lose clients

Trade accounts to the private sector are still something which we can’t to offer at this moment in time. Sorry that the email you sent in the past was ignored, moving on from that anything you email me direct will normally be answer within the hour.

Thanks for your personal reply. I will bare this in mind with the next order we are due to place.

However, you guys still need to lose the 0871 number. I won't call them. I have an 01 number for ocuk which still works, and while you still sit on hold for the same amount of time at least it doesn't cost a penny. In the economic climate of today, the last thing we want to be doing as a company and myself as an individual at home is be lining someone elses pockets via 0871.

I firmly believe you'll find every single one of your customers feel the same way. OK, most people place orders online, but when they go wrong and you're on hold for 15 minutes to tech support // returns its making you as a company at least 90 pence from us. This is just for the god awful music too!

Lose the 0871 and I'd order everything I order on a personal basis from you at the very least.

If you drop Ade an email, and have your number on the bottom of the email I am sure he can give you a call back, saves you making any calls then.

Your problem is resolved. :)

5UB - with respect. The problem isn't solved at all. I should be able to ring a company when I want to, not have to wait for a call back. I've no problem being on hold, the cack music every company uses or anything else - but I resent the money making most companies do from 0871 numbers now.

Do you use MSN/WLM yourself? Is that a work around? Or do you need a dedicated number which is not a 0871 number?

Interesting idea this. I'm not sure I can see it doing all that well though TBH. I ring up the blue logo lot about any of the desktops/laptops and I get a replacement part the next-day, sometimes with a nice man to fit it too depending on what it is. Until OcUK can offer that there's no competition really.

Regarding the phone numbers, at premium rate numbers. Anyone know what 0844 338 1200 costs?

I have to say I back the other comments on 087 numbers. It doesn't matter if I am calling to spend £20 or £20,000, I don't see why I should have to pay again for the privilege of being sold to.
