Ok, not so much a confirmation or anything.....

Just recieved an E-mail from EA to do a survey on Command and Conquer and a potential new game. Now after a bunch of questions about games in the series I had played etc....It started to ask questions specifically towards Command and Conquer 4 and an end to the Tiberium Saga.

Main questions posed throughout were aspects such as the following...

Mobile base
New Scriptwriting Team and Minority Report style cinematics
MMORPG like elements, this I assume would be Leveling, Exp, Unlocking new skills, units I suppose
New Objective based up to 5v5 multiplayer mode

It was very specific towards that specific title but of course it could be a curve ball and be trying to find out what elements people would like in their next release which I still think will be Generals 2. :)

Wonder if its still using that ancient sage engine, i dunno how many times people have to complain about the zoom function being crap before they finally change it. Been like that since generals and something people complained about since then with little to no improvement.

Hopefully it won't be utterly crap like RA3, or a bore-fest like C&C3.

Seriously shocking games, the pair of them.

To be honest they should have left this series after Generals. Everything since that has been awful, even Generals had awful netcode which meant anyone with a bad connection ruined the game for everyone else. The last installments have been laughably bad though.

Hopefully it is a new Generals..

C&C Generals was amazing I agree, apart from the fact it wasn't very reliable online and reliant on others most of the time!
I still think all the games since Generals have been awful too, glad I wasn't the only one who thought so. Colonel Burton GO

I really enjoyed C&C3, unfortunately can't say the same for RA3 :(

I'm hoping for another Tiberian based game, ultimately the most enjoyable single player experience was there.

RA3 killed it for many fans including me :( Awful, dire & laughably poor and tired

They should go back to the same style of gfx in RA2 & Yuri but enhance and tweak so you get mini FPS sequences when you have to storm buildings and capture vehicles. But its EA so unlikely to be anything much more than another Sage engine game.

Even Generals was much better than RA3

Have to agree it's been going down hill since RA2. I still quite enjoyed Generals and C&C 3 however, enough that I played through the campaign missions. RA3 though was a huge dissapointment. After two missions I'd had enough.

generals was a terrible game, haven't played C&C3 or RA3, but they don't look too hot..

hopefully, they'll go back to single unit squads

:) I played Generals for years and loved it :)

Original Red Alert is still my fave... although even better was Red Alert: Retaliation on the PSX... Many, many hours of my childhood spent on that with my cousin, extra T.V and link cable for the win!!!! :)

On a more modern note though C&C3 is pretty good, RA3 not so much... =/ I'd like to see them carry on with the Tiberium wars, maybe add a different faction instead of just sub factions and fix the multiplayer as well. I'd just like to see something highly polished with a few new ideas and maybe a new game engine wouldn't hurt things either. :)

Command and Conquer just needs refreshment. Generals was a step in this direction and it worked nicely. We've already played Tiberium Wars and Red Alert 3 before 2004. Updating the graphics simply isn't cutting it anymore.

For the next game they should think like Obama. Change.
