Hi

trying to find where i can buy a spare power and usb cable for a WD 320g external drive, had a look over their site but had no luck.

any ideas?

The USB cable should be universal; you can get that anywhere. To get a replacement power supply, look at the input requirements on the device. It'll probably be 12 volts and something like 2 amperes DC. Search the web for a PSU with the same specs and order it.

Excellent. :)

Regarding the poser supply, I can't quite make out the photo. Is it just plain round socket like most such devices use or is it more complicated than that?

Also, when I can't get my (crappy) camera to focus up close I take the photo from farther away then crop to the part that is relevant. :)

yeah sorry about the pic !!, the connector for the psu has 2 pins on either side and 1 plastic rectangle at the bottom (best i could describe)

Hmm, it sounds reminiscent of an S-Video connector. I don't think such a thing is standard and I don't know where you might find one, but I could be wrong.
