Chopped the 172 in for this and picked it up this wednesday, loving it so far a better car in every way. And I am now addicted to boost :D.

I'm growing to like these after seeing the Meganes racing around Silverstone last weekend.

Really like the exterior but that interior leaves a lot to be desired. What is it with Renault and covering everything in cheap grey plastic.

Still bet its a hoot to drive. :D

What are the running costs like on these?

Like services etc?

12k/1yr services are circa £150-200 I believe, haven't really looked into it as it won't be getting worked on my anyone bar me as I just can't 100% trust a garage. And I enjoy taking things to pieces :o. Servicables are cheap enough, front brake stuffs a bit dearer than most due to the brembos.

Love these cars, how does it compare handling wise to the clio?

What mpg do you get? (on boost :P)

Handling wise its better (imo) than the clio much more composed and sure footed, feels a lot less on the edge to speak. Getting about 28-29mpg currently driving round town and get 33-35mpg at 70 on a run as 6th gear is 2500rpm at 70 so out of boost for the most part. Haven't used a full tank to refit to see how much I get properly yet though, but I don't expect it to be mega economical tbh I didn't buy it expecting that.

I like the styling on the whole, even the fat ass but it does seem to be a marmite thing. Have to keep reminding myself how far it sticks out when reversing mind, waaay to use to the clio and bumper pretty much being where the back window was.

When you've seen the racing Megane's the road going versions suddenly look appealing.

They are a good step up from a Clio 172. The wider and longer wheel base gives them much better handling than a Clio can ever have but they are also much heavier. Turbo must be fun I bet.
