Audi interiors make me cry, just something about them makes them always look like it's in an old car

S4 though, do it! DO IT!

Have you seen the new models? They are fantastic.

The S4 is still overkill for my usage. 80% of my driving is stuck on A-B roads doing 50-60mph.

The superb is indeed mega value, and I think it looks really good too.

Yeah I looked at them before buying the 5 series, but I don't know, it's just all the rounded edges. I'm weird with interiors

S4...do it. At that price you'd be mad not too, especially given it's only a 6 month commitment

Not sure what you mean by round? They aren't in the newer 2017 models

S4 will be similar to the already very fast and capable A4 I've got for the next 6 months. I just can't make it work in my head.

I'd prefer something comfy and practical with a big of pace and the Superb is amazing value.

P.s 5 series? What happened to Jag?

Binned it off as I got sick of taking it back to the dealer for the same problems

That's much nicer, but bolt on looking screen :( Why? Why are all German marques doing this? Looks gross

Sensible part of my says the Superb, the other part of me watches this and gets excited.

I think the fact that these won't appear on the list next time round or any time after may push me towards taking the opportunity.

Saying that, I checked the allocations and they are really low. 10 Avant and 8 Saloons across the entire company, with preferences going to employees first. So I would say it's highly unlikely.

New Q5 on the other hand has 81 allocated :p

The little S1 would be quite good fun i'd think if the others aren't likely to happen

Should suit pretty well if you only do short journeys too (I know you say big and comfy, but it's only a few months)

S1 is a no go since it's a family car on the weekend. Baby, wife and push chair.

Fair enough, in that case Superb or go daft and take one of the Touaregs - they're actually quite nice cars (for a lumbering great thing)

That S4 sounds a bit plain? No sound on the overrun, pops and crackles seem a bit lifeless also :(

I have no idea what engine the S4 has now though, bet it follows the usual trend these days?

Its a V6 TFSI with about 340HP.

It just needs a different exhaust to wake it up a bit. :)

e; 354HP*

I think it sounds good enough for a fast saloon.

I'd expect to see the characteristics you mentioned on the RS4.

Pops and crackles on a car like that? It's not a sports monster, it's a range topping Audi A4. No pops and crackles on the competing 340i, either.

I like the look of the new A5, but the only thing is the current one has a really odd and annoying boot layout. It's deep, but due to the sloping back doesn't have much height at the opening. This results in the buggy going in and everything else being pilled on top of it towards the back of the space. Not sure if they have changed this in the new A5.

Those feels when your car choice depends on the amount of room left after a buggy goes in :(
