New car has broken down twice in the first two weeks!!

ok just an update.

the car is still being repaired, they now need to replace the entire engine!

and it will be a minumum week aswell before they get one, so basically i got the car on the 3rd of November, had it in my posession for a total of 12 days, and its been in the garage getting repaired for about 23 days by the time i "potentially" get the car back

i dont know what to do, legal advice and trading standards say there really isnt much of an option but to wait for it to be repaired :(

The new Corsa is a cracking little car. I suggest those who are slagging it off should take one out for a spin, nice little motor and much better than the last door stop.

please lets not get into a **** of my car choice, this is not what this thread is about...a corsa was the only new car i could afford that i viewed as relatively decent.

i have now gone and whinged to them about my courtesy car, they are trying to sort something.

I have as a matter of fact,a few times. a mate of my Girlfriend has one, well, had it, it got written off a few weeks back by a 205 side swiping it.

She opted to change the car rather than get a new one, which her insurers offered (due to its 3 month old age I assume?)

Not bad, but I found the Seat Ibiza TDi a lot better to drive & it seemed better built.

Better than the last door stop, sure, but, thats hardly high praise, is it?

Confusion, when you post that your new cars broken down twice in 2 weeks, don't be surprised if people pop up agreeing that the Corsa isn't that good as your experiences seem to bear out. -
I have no confidence in the car and want rid!

I'd be truly apoplectic if a car I purchased a month ago required new parts culminating in a new engine.

Even worse the legal people have said you can't do anything about it.

Only ever had one vauxhall and won't be doing it again. :)

agreed, but this post isnt to discuss that, its to discuss if anyone has any advice for me in regards to getting my money back!

It wasn't meant as praise, it was meant as a statement of fact.
Pretty much backs up what I said then!;)

My advice was sincere, reject it!
