New car help!

Basically am looking to replace an X reg Citroen Saxo VTR.

With the part ex I'll have about £5500 to shop with, I quote like th Saxo replacement... the C2 and seems ideal as I'm looking to stay at around the same spec and insurance group as my current car.

Although from trauling AutoTrader and what seems like every garage within about 10 miles am just finding no cars that take my fancy and can find not suitable C2's for around my price range. Am beginning to get a bit fed up with looking as like I have yet to see even a single car that has caught my eye.... and when it has its been about £8k.

I've experienced the typical thing of when your not looking to buy a car you see loads you like but when you are looking you see nothing but this is going on to long.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any particular models or any suggestions at all????

Consider a Lupo GTi if you are wanting a quick hatch.

Maybe an early Clio 172 is an option.

Yeah have been looking at Clio's but the ones of similar spec to my Saxo seem very very pricey, Lupo GTi...... cant even say I know what they look like but will check Autotrader now.

Yeah was looking at them but they also seem very pricey and would end up with a car about the same age as the one I'm looking to get rid of which I kind of dont want.

I've liked them for ages and nearly had one when I bought the Saxo although even 3 years ago for same mileage, age etc etc they were always a grand more expensive so went for the Saxo.
