So Friday night i made my way down to chichester to pick up the new motor , its a 55 Clio 182 Trophy with 21,000 Miles on the clock. Unfortantley i have only had a morning of dryness and im very happy with the " rip your face off grip it gives " evan more so than the puma and the power delivery is fantastic. I belive it has Group N K-Tec ECU Remap Brembo Discs Ferrodo Pads and some braided brake lines.

Here are some pictures

Not as nice looking as the Puma sport, which IMO is one of Fords best looking cars ever. But a fantastic car, the reviews I have heard about the suspension setup on this will make it a hoot to drive on the B roads. Sachs aint it @ 1500 a corner :D

Nice one Sam. Saw the pictures on ZSOC earlier... nice looking motor you have there (not as nice as mine tho :P) Just a shame you decided to leave us FORD's for a French car :) Keep it clean and have a pop at me at Trax.

Looks very nice, got a test drive in a standard one tomorrow see what they are like, hopefully get to drive it in anger.

Braided brake lines?

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the advantage there?

Standard rubber hoses swell under the pressure when you apply the brakes, meaning some of the force you apply at the pedal is lost. Braided lines improve feel and make the brakes a bit sharper.

I take it you're talking about the link from the metal pipe-work to the caliper.

And by braided you mean the pipe is rubber with with metal strips wound round it in a cross pattern (like a garden hose's reinforcment).

That sounds worthwhile actually. I have a certain respect for those who work on other stuff before the engine, like the brakes.

So long as you don't go and use racing fluid.
