New Car.....

Nice.

Were you not tempted to take advantage of the fact that the TT was pretty much the same between 99 and 05 and bought one a few years older for half the price which, after fixing your private plate to, would have been identical in every way?

This is exactly my thought too. £6000 buys a very decent TT these days, nothing was changed throughout production really.

Fair points, and i know these engines are more or less bullet-proof with the right care. However i wanted something a little newer, just because....... i wanted something a little newer. I plan on having this car for at least 2 -3 years and wanted something with low mileage.

Nice car, a bloke at work had one (although I think it was a slightly different model as it had a black roof) they're pretty quick, tuneable too!

I see, are the newer ones better?

No not atall but would have struggled to find an older one with that sort of mileage. Not saying a high mileage one would have been any problems. It was just a car that was going fairly local, one owner who part X with garage and i was happy with the price :D

As for modding, Yes.

First things first is.
Liquid TT Gauge - is a multifunctoin gauge & diagnostics tool which can display many types of information related to your car's performance
BlueFlame Exhaust
BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox
Pipercross Panel Filter
Forge Motorsport - Cold Side Valve Relocation Kit
Audi TT 225 Dual System - Add around 40BHP

And finally i want to get parrott ck3200 or something (not really a mod)
